MATANUSKA RIVER PARK - CAMPGROUND
(Palmer) Mile 1 Old Glenn Highway.  Eighty (80) spaces for tents or RV's (20 oversized spaces), central comfort station featuring flush toilets and hot showers, RV dump station, picnic tables, grills, five (5) park pavilions - reservations available, playground equipment, horseshoe and san volleyball courts, trails and river access, observation deck, fishing, athletic fields & parking areas, campfire area, firewood.  Park will close at freeze-up.

LAKE LUCILLE PARK - CAMPGROUND
(Wasilla) Located at the end of an access road at mile 2.4 Knik-Goose Bay Road, south of Wasilla.  Sixty-four (64) spaces for tents or Rvs (6 oversized spaces), this 80-acre park provides non-motorized lake access, a boardwalk and fishing deck, restrooms and drinking water, 3 pavilions-reservations available, trails, day use area, volleyball and horseshoe courts, picnic tables, fire pits, picnic area, group camping area, and firewood.  Park will close at freeze-up.

LITTLE SUSITNA RIVER - CAMPGROUND
(Houston) Mile 57.4 Parks Highway.  Eighty-six (86) spaces for tents or Rvs, large picnic pavilion - reservations available, trails to the river, fishing, playground equipment, restrooms, drinking water, picnic tables, fire pits and firewood.  Day use areas provide facilities and visitor amenities for daytime recreation.  Overnight camping and or activities are prohibited in all of these areas.  Contact the City of Houston, 892-6869 for more information or pavilion reservations.

VOLUNTEER PARK
Located adjacent to the Cottonwood Public Safety Building at the intersection of the Seward Meridian Parkway and the Palmer-Wasilla Highway.  The landscaped day use park offers a pavilion, picnic tables, grills, sand volleyball and horseshoe courts for informal family or group use.

FISH CREEK PARK
(Big Lake) South Big Lake Road at Fish Creek.  The 3-acre day use area provides access to Fish Creek.  Organized facilities include a salmon observation deck (species prevalent during August), pavilion, tables, picnic tables, restrooms, fitness court, parking and open lawn area.
